A2 Hosting Pricing

Before we talk about the different pricing plans offered by A2, there’s something that we want to mention first…

Depending on the term length that you choose, the renewal rate changes quite drastically. Typically, the longer your term, the cheaper your monthly price will be.

We’ve seen many other popular web hosting sites do this where they show you a low upfront price until you realize that you’re signing up for a 3-year agreement. 

Although three years is not that long in the grand scheme of things, and it can be a plus if you’re enjoying Hosting services!

But it’s just something we think you should keep in mind! 😁

A2 Shared Hosting

If you plan on starting a new website without spending a lot of money, then shared hosting should be your go-to option! Shared hosting stores your site on a server with other websites where you share resources and lower the individual cost.

Hence, the word “shared”… duh.

Shared Hosting is A2’s most popular hosting option and is an excellent choice if you’re just starting out! Pricing for shared hosting starts at $2.99 per month for a 3-year term and offers four tiers: Startup, Drive, TurboBoost, and TurboMax.

Shared web hosting plans are best for small businesses or new entrepreneurs who don’t receive a high traffic volume yet. However, the biggest drawback is that it isn’t particularly powerful.

The most significant difference between the pricing tiers is the number of features that come included. We have to mention that we think the Startup Tier lacks some features as it only consists of a single website, 100GB of SSD storage, and doesn’t include automatic backups and server rewind.

We don’t like how A2 advertises their lowest hosting price for a plan that doesn’t include much of anything except the most basic features.

In our opinion, it’s much more worth it to go with the Drive Tier. 

But regardless, if you want more resources devoted to your site, you need to go with VPS Hosting or something higher.

A2 VPS Hosting

Virtual Private Server Hosting (more commonly known as VPS Hosting) hosts multiple sites on the same server except, unlike shared hosting, each site is isolated from the other and gets much more resources. 

With VPS hosting, you won’t have to share resources with other clients and can configure your server more to your individual needs. 

A2’s VPS Hosting plans are a more stable and secure solution for your website. Plans for managed VPS hosting start at $33.99 per month for a 3-year term.

They also offer an unmanaged VPS hosting plan, but we do not recommend going with that option. (Unless you’re a website developer!)

We recommend A2’s VPS hosting if your website gets medium traffic volume or if you require more server resources than what shared hosting can offer you.
